Why file sizes matter on Etsy

Etsy buyers downloading digital wall art expect files they can print at home or send to a print shop without any resizing, recropping, or guesswork. If your files are the wrong dimensions, you get returns, bad reviews, and fewer repeat customers. On Etsy, a string of bad reviews on a low-volume listing is hard to recover from.

The standard expectation in 2026 is 300 DPI across five standard wall art ratios, packaged as a single ZIP delivery with each ratio in its own clearly-named file. This is what your top-revenue competitors are doing, and it’s what buyers have been trained to expect.
